Tour Plan
Day 1
A representative will escort you from your Cairo hotel to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. In Aswan, you will be joined by an Egyptologist guide to explore the majestic Philae Temple, situated on an island in Lake Nasser, and previously located in the First Cataract of the Nile River. The day concludes with a visit to the High Dam, built in 1961 under President Gamal Abdel Nasar. Afterward, you'll check into your hotel in Aswan for some leisure time and an overnight stay. Meals included: Lunch.
Day 2
After an early morning boxed breakfast provided by your Aswan hotel, you and your guide will head to the remarkable Temples of Abu Simbel. These temples, renowned for their unique style, are masterpieces of ancient Egyptian architecture and represent the glory of the New Kingdom. Following a collaborative effort between the Egyptian government and UNESCO, these temples were saved from flooding. The Temple of Ramses II honors four universal gods and Ramses II himself, while the Temple of Queen Nefertiti, also known as the Temple of Hathor, symbolizes the connection to the Sun God. After lunch in a local Aswan restaurant, you'll be transferred to the Aswan train station for a first-class train journey to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, we'll pick you up for your overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch.
Day 3
Your guide will meet you early in the morning after breakfast to begin a full day of exploration on the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Following a lunch break, the tour continues to the East Bank of Luxor, where you'll visit the expansive Karnack Temples and the equally significant Luxor Temple. Your day concludes with a transfer to Luxor's domestic airport for your return flight to Cairo, where our driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned van.
